Baby I | Lifestyle Newborn Photos in Bend, Oregon

I have been so behind in blogging and thought to myself, what better way to get back on the train then to share this sweet family? They welcomed their second baby, a sweet little girl into their home just this past November. How awesome is it that grandma was able to visit and get in on some photos?

Baby Ines' mom is a fabulous blogger who shares some amazing recipes. You can check out her stuff here: http://www.accordingtoelle.com. Enjoy!

The Rubio Family | Newborn Photos | Bend, Oregon

I just knew when Taryn contacted me about birth and newborn photos that I would have a great time photographing her and her sweet family. Taryn is the easiest going woman I have ever met. I traveled to their gorgeous home in Bend, Oregon for their newborn session and just about did a happy dance when I entered their gorgeous house. Photographing the first few days of a newborn's life are so special. This is why I love traveling to my clients homes-it's so much more personal. The cozy snuggling shots are my favorites and we definitely got plenty of those! Thank you, Rubio family for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to photograph this special time in your lives!

Newborn Session in Bend, OR | Baby Reece

I typically recommend clients to contact me as soon as they know they want to schedule a session with me since I tend to book out in advance. Reece's mama contacted me when he was already a few days old but luckily, I happened to have an opening that very weekend! I knew as soon as Jennifer and I connected about a newborn session for her new baby boy Reece that I would fall in love with her session. You see, Jennifer is a former KTVZ-News Channel 21 news reporter and producer here where I live in Bend, Oregon. She has such style and grace-I was so excited to work with her!

I arrived at the house to Jennifer's mom welcoming me in while Jennifer was finishing getting ready. I use this time to look for where the light is falling and where the best natural light is. We decided the master bedroom had the best light and got started in there. I brought with me a couple neutral props which mama and I had emailed about; a basket, a simple wrap/swaddle and a couple of cute bonnets. Of course, we had to get some shots in Reece's adorable nursery and it's a must to get a few breastfeeding photos-it's something I wish I had.

Little Reece was SO good to me. He needed just a little bit of persuading but quickly zonked out for a good chunk of time and we got so many great images!

Here are some of my favorites from this lovely session:
